Beach Clean

                            Beach Clean

On the last day of school before the two weeks holiday, the seniors went to the Waikowhai Beach to pick up rubbish so the animals won't eat it and die. First we took our climate change sign and went in front of the school to take a picture and show it to the drivers, then we walked to the waikowhai beach. When we arrived we put our signs in Miss Najak's car and waited for Miss Sands to tell us what to do how far to go. She told us to go all the way to the end and she said the we are staying in the beach for around one hour and thirty- minutes.

After a few minutes we went down the stairs onto the beach, we found some rubbish some people even found coconuts shells, it was me Atreyu and Tyson. When we were half way through the end of the beach there wasn't much rubbish either, it made me think that nearly everyone that goes to Waikowhai Beach puts there rubbish in the bin or picks rubbish up. The beach was very cool because there are heeps of creatures like crabs when you go closer in the water, When I looked back from where we came from I was very surprised of how far we went because it felt like a very short time. An hour and twenty-minutes later we walked back close to the stairs and played a bit, when I went back I saw five boys trying to get a big Tyre outside of the sand, we were close to getting it out but we couldn't so Miss Sands said leave it she will call the council to do it and when we went away from the Tyre Torian found a shrimp and I found a five cent coin on the ground, it was very rusty. After that we gave our gloves back to the teacher and walked back to school and had lunch.
