summer learning journey work
On Tuesday the 17th of December, I chose a SLJ activity it was, Imagine that you were invited to join Nainoa for three weeks at sea. You are asked to pack your own food. List 10 food items that you could take on the trip. Remember you will not have a fridge or freezer!. On your blog, post your list of 10 food items you would take on an ocean voyage. First I would bring a Watermelon because it is very healthy and yummy and I can last longer than a small piece of food because it is big, the second food I would like to bring with me is a big loaf of bread cause it's healthy and it has a lot of carbohydrates and carbohydrates makes you have energy, third is probably skittles, because I would want to have a treat instead of eating healthy all the time, fourth is probably fish because it's healthy and you could also eat it raw. Fifth one is a coconut, sixth is grapes, seven is a sandwich, eight is a pack on chips, nine is banana cake, ten beef jerky. eleven a pie.
goal slideshow
Goal Slideshow
In Te Waka Ako we use our goal slideshow to put our goals in etc,
we don't use Portfolios anymore. All of them went home, we have a digital one now, everything is the same but for the digital one the teachers added more things like goal practice page or favorite work of the term etc. We spent more than a week filling in everything and linking your graph it was a bit hard, we had a lot of slides we had 40 slides. after a few weeks past only like 2 to 3 students have completed theirs.

Pillowcase work
On the 10th, 11th, and the 12th of December Te Waka Ako brought in pillowcases to write a positive message and then paint it. First we got our Inquiry book and drew our positive writing in any font to practice, colour it and show the teacher to get your pillow, Miss Daly told us what colour do you want to start with first and then she will put you into a group to paint. After the painting we had to put it in Manukau and do our summer learning journey.
Summer learning journey activity
On the 14th of December, the SLJ teaser week has ended. We started on week one, the first activity was Imagine that you could be a superhero for a day. What three superpowers would you most like to have.? On your blog, please list the three superpowers, tell us why you have chosen each one, and tell us what you are going to do with them. My first super power is probably teleportation so if I am in trouble I can teleport away and I don't have to be late for anything. My second one is telekinesis so I don't have to move around the house to get stuff, I can just use my telekinesis to lift it and bring it to me, last but not least is a superpower where you can shrink, I want to shrink because so I can go into tiny gaps and hang out with insects such as ants, ladybugs and other. My superhero name is probably going to be Ethlegends I couldn't think of anything so I just use my username that I use for games like Minecraft, League of Legends, and other games.

Swimming
Swimming
On the 20th of November, the school pool was opened again, Te Waka Ako had a little notice of when the pool was open it was Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. When we went in it was very! cold but if you dive into the water you will start to get warm. This time there were no lessons we had free time the whole swimming session. If you don't bring your togs then you'll have to do some boring maths work in the class and if you have finished you have to do another. Thanks for reading it Bye!
