Bigfoot bike training
On Wednesday the 27th of November, it was Manukau's Bigfoot bike training. First we went into the shade house, and the two instructors Henry, and Caroline told us about being safe on a bike, at night you have to wear a light coloured vest and a bag cover so when you're biking at night you can be seen when the cars are driving on the road. Next we went and got our helmets and bikes we lined up and waited for everyone to finish, after that they told us if we could ride on a bike, if you can't you'll have to go to the other court and learn how to ride, after that we ride our bike around the court, it was very fun, we also learnt other stuff like riding with one hand etc. At the end we played a box game. You'd have to ride in the court and there is a limit, after every minute the circle will get smaller and smaller so it would get harder. After the game some of us got prizes like bells etc and everyone got a pen or a rubber, but Hauraki and Waitemata got badges and pencils.

Athletics Day
Athletics Day
On Tuesday the 19th of November, it was athletics day. At the start of the day we prepared everything like the poles etc, after the bell rang we went to our classes and did the roll, the teachers also put our age on our hand, then we went outside and sat on the ground in a line on the court in our age group. I was 9 years old so I went in the 9 year old group with my friends, first we did long jump. We made two lines one for the year 4's and one for the year 5's, after the last year 4 went the year 5's carried on I was quite good at it so I came 4th at the end, the next one was like a challenge thing Ms Paterson gave one of us a stopwatch and go in groups of 4 then she told us to go on a equipment on the field we did the blue thing with two ropes you had to climb on. I went first the first time I took 6 seconds I put my feet on the blue thing and held the rope and when I got to the top I jumped of every one did the same thing as well. On my second round I took 4 seconds I was so surprised. After when the bell rang to move places we went to the sprints it was very tiring we had semi finals and finals, 15 minutes after that we moved to the cheering station, we cheered very hard and at the end when they were getting their place cards I said good job to them and clapped. The next one was all the way to the 200 meter run, after we all did the 200 meter run Mrs McLellan said who wanted to do the 400 meter run, I was to tired so I didn't do it but I cheered. Next was the Shot-Put, then we did Tennis. My buddy was Mahan he wasn't that good at playing Tennis so I had to get the ball all the time because he kept missing. Next was the one where you had 4 pads and you had to cross the lake and Miss Daly made it even harder she drew bacteria and rubbish so If you touch it you have to go back to the start. Lunch time was next we just played around the field, and saw Apollo with a lizard in his hands, then when lunch time finished we did the relays we went into our house groups and the teachers told us who is going to do the run. It was very long we all cheered for the runners. After the relay the bell went and we went home telling our parents what happens. Also I forgot to say something we also did high jump before the relays.

The Unveiling
The Unveiling
On the 6th of November on Tuesday, The whole school got our hats and went to the senior court for the opening of the garden. Misses Peterson told us why it was there for and told us that that everything has a plaque. It had blue tack under the plaque because she said it was temporary we are going to have another one. After that we sang the school song to the all the parents for the first time, we had a piece of paper with the lyrics in it so we wouldn't forgot or say a word wrong. After that we called up the oldest student in the school Alan and the youngest Bella to cut to ribbons.When we finished we went onto the grass near the fence to see the unveiling of the cultural people on the fence. Misses Peterson called out four names in each class to unveil there one, Ms Daily was taking photos with her drone as well.

Kidsbot
Kidsbot
On the 31st of October we did a kidbot thing on our Chromebook. First we made a table then we had to write the title like what you did, I did help Sam and Olivia from tron go to the portal. Then we added the character and made obstacles so it would be harder for them to go to the end. For the obstacles I did Rinzler a light jet, a light cycle and another person. After that we made boxes and wrote help them get to the end and make another way and help them get back to the start. When we finished we had to get a buddy and the buddy had to use arrows to go to the and etc. It was very fun.
